Makers make things by hand because they are compelled to do so. The funny thing about making things by hand is that you can’t really explain to someone else why it’s so satisfying. You have to actually do it to know it. So consider yourself invited to find out for yourself.
Our community members and instructors have experience in many disciplines ranging from 3d printing, wood working, CNC routing, electronics, chemistry, sewing (you get the idea). We offer workshops and classes which help build the foundations of a strong practice of making.
Newtown Makers is a community of practice, in other words, we get hands-on and make things together. Members collaborate and help other members to improve and enhance designs. We share what we have learned with each other, and that’s what makes us all better makers.
