Contract Academic Employees, consisting of a bargaining unit of part-time instructors and librarians, was certified by AUNBT in 2008. The bargaining unit consists of “all persons employed by the University of New Brunswick in part-time training in a part-time for credit course or librarian course, or all Campuses of the University of New Brunswick, except deans, associates or assistants, those above the rank of dean, university librarian, faculty members who are members of the Board of Governors, persons for whom a union holds bargaining rights under the Industrial Relations Act and those excluded by the Industrial Relations Act.” In this rate unit, there are approximately 600 employees who teach 1,500 courses per year. 8. Full-time employment is ongoing and this course could be part of a regular teaching load.
Wage structure and related issues (Article 23). This article identifies the core scholarship and clarifies issues such as market differences and fees for cancelling a course. If you are a full-time or part-time faculty member at Fanshawe College, you are covered by the federal Academic Employees Collective Agreement (CA). It is a legally binding contract: it defines the rights and obligations you have as a member of the bargaining unit, as well as the rights and obligations of your employer. The treaty is implemented through legally binding dispute resolution mechanisms, such as grievance arbitration (Article 32) and Workload Resolution Arbitration (WRA).
Printed copies of the 2017-2021 Workers` Academic Collective Agreement have been distributed to all current full-time faculties. Fanshawe will provide a copy of the partially contaminated faculty at the beginning of his next contract. The common guidelines for implementing certain aspects of the EAC Agreement (2014-15) are preferred for Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada. Past experiences in higher education in a university setting are considered an enrichment. The subject line must contain the course number, title, section and term you want to teach (z.B MBA 7303 Marketing Management SJ1M1, fall 2020). Laptop fund (Article 28). A laptop for the exclusive use of an EAC may be provided by a fund pursuant to Section 28. To qualify, an EAC must contain at least one AAA and at least one ROFR in another. 3. The CAE contract requires the Contract Academic Instructor to take the course from start to finish, including invigilation and marking of the final exam.
